1958年東京都生まれ。東京都立大学理学部物理学科卒。笠原邦彦編の作品集『ビバ！おりがみ』（1983年サンリオ）に掲載された「悪魔」等の作品と設計理論は、折り紙界に衝撃を与え、今日の複雑な作品隆盛の基礎になった。日本折紙学会評議員。

Jun MAEKAWA was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1958. He published "VIVA ORIGAMI", edited by Kasahara Kunihiko, in 1983. The book, including "Devil" and his theory of designing models, has shocked the Origami world, and this had founded the basis for appearance of complex models since then. He is a member of the board of directors of JOAS.
